Make That Change
Last April 24, 2014 was the official launch of Facial Care Centre’s very first Corporate Social Responsibility program with Headshot Clinic, Climate Change Commission, and Emmy-award winning Filipino producer Michael Carandang. Entitled “Earth Faces,” this project’s mission is to raise awareness on the effects of climate change.
One of the recent proofs that climate change is happening was Typhoon Haiyan (locally known as Yolanda) and the devastation that hit our country last year. The aftereffects of such natural calamities, both emotional and physical, can still be seen and felt all throughout the world. And it is with these experiences that the project was born.
The team relayed their stories about taking photos of Yolanda’s survivors and their families in four island provinces, and printing their family portraits on the spot. All these done in barely a week by the Facial Care team, Niccolo Cosme of Head Shot Clinic, and environmentalist Anna Oposa. These portraits were given to the families as a sign of hope and to serve as a reminder of how resilient the Filipinos are.
